My mom and I found this little brick side walk on a whim, and after going through the pictures it reminds me of The Wizard of Oz. I have never really been into that book/movie but I just thought it was cute how we found our own "little brick road"; I may just have to go back with ruby red slipper.  

Christmas is 8 days away. Say what?! I'm not complaining though. The holidays are some of my favorite times out of the year. Tonight for one of my small groups with my church we are doing a Yankee Swap. The rule is you are supposed to bring something that you don't want or that is laying around your house After a big move that is very very hard, so wish your girl luck on finding something....

10 days away from Christmas, y'all 10 DAYS!! How is half of December already gone?! Not to mention 2015 is just 17 days away.... Do you have a fancy little party you are attending this holiday season? Do you have a little fancy dress? No? Well i've got your back girl! I've put together a few of my favorite holiday dresses for Christmas or New Years. I am not one to spend $300 on a dress that will be worn once (my wedding dress however, I will make an exception), so I have some that are on the pricey side if you are willing to splurge for the beauty then I have others that are under $100!  

One day I will be invited to one of those grand parties and I will be wearing my ultimate holiday dress (imagine this but more of this kinda style mixed with this, does that make sense?), but dreaming will have to do for now. Over Thanksgiving I stepped foot into the "new" Nordstrom Rack in Columbia, SC. When my eyes landed on this scarf I knew without a doubt that I was taking it home. I put it in my basket without blinking. Ever since I moved above the Mason-Dixon line I have been all about faux fur. I wasn't able to wear it much (if not at all) in South Carolina, but boy oh boy has it been my go-to for staying warm. Not only is the scarf cheetah (I actually think it's leopard, but we'll still go with cheetah) print it also feels like faux fur. 

It has been rainy, dark, and gloomy everyday this week and it definitely took a toll on me. I live for sunny days, and I was about to just sit and cry if it was overcast again today (drama queen much?) But I woke up and it was sunnyyyyy! Hallelujah praise the Lord!!

Ahhh, I forgot to add the scarf to this outfit! Oh well. Ever since I first saw this pin on Pinterest I have been crazy about it, so i'm pretty excited for this outfit. Not to mention it's pretty festive. 

Speaking of festive, this week I have been decorating my room just a little bit and we finally got lights and a tree up, aka happy Catharine! The only thing I am slacking on is buying gifts. I have an excuse though, I don't know what to get my family. Lil' siblings are cool, mom's cool, but my dad and teenage brothers... what is a girl to do with no list from them?! As a southern girl it's a natural thing to monogram everything in my sight. That's when Marley Lilly steps in. This dress is a way of wearing your pajamas while being stylish. It's warm, it's cozy, it's soft. I'm a home-body and it doesn't help that i'm homeschooled; my problem is I sit around my house all day and sometimes I actually want to look half way decent but still comfortable. Insert this dress. Flawless. Ah, I can't say enough good things about this dress!
