Hey y'all! It's about time I got an outfit post up. Luckily I have a fabulous friend who is willing to take my pictures now that I am away from my Momma. But anyway, today I'm sharing an outfit that I literally threw on one morning without even knowing if it would work. I wanted to bring you this outfit before the top sold out since it was so cute (that's why the top isn't a tailored fit on me....), but I guess I didn't get to it fast enough. I did however link a few similar ones above and below. 

The main thing I wanted to mention was this skirt! It is currently under $9! Yeah, you heard me correctly, 9 whole bucks. They have some other colors in stock as well. It's a super comfy maxi skirt that I think every girl should have, especially for $9, ha!

Why hello! Easter is my favorite holiday for many reasons, and getting to pick out a new spring outfit every year makes it all the more fun. As the years have gone by I have become better at planning my outfits ahead of time, especially because of shipping reasons (NYFW also taught me a lesson on this...). Above are a few favorites of mine. This navy, this bow detail, this laser cut detail are all up there as well! To sum it up, just give me lace, floral or bow details, and spring pastels and I will be the happiest girl hopping around on Easter. 

Below are also a list of stores that I look to for dresses for any occasion. A quick tip, if you are on a budget look at smaller boutiques. Most you can find through Instagram or Pinterest, but I do have a few listed below.

There are so many new beauty products I want to try and repurchase as well as some pretty cute accessories. While taking a peak at my closet, accessories are what I lack the most, so you can bet I will be buying something in that department.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Part 1

The #NSale is here!! Although, I have to say i'm not too excited to see sweaters and coats. But hey, you can get them for a great deal so i'm all for that. There's some cute stuff, so much so that I decided to break this sale guide in two parts. So today it's all about the dresses, tops/sweaters, and outerwear. 

I could do a whole post on outerwear to be honest. I tell people all the time to never buy an outerwear item that just came out or that's full price. Because 90% of the time you can find a great deal somewhere. The time to shop for a coat would be the end of March-August. I know, you don't want to buy a winter item in the spring or summer time, trust me i'm right there with you girl, but I bought my favorite coat in the off season. It took a few months to wear it but boy was I thanking the friend who told me to just bite the bullet and buy it. So to sum up this paragraph, buy the outerwear before the sweaters. 

Two items I would highly recommend buying would be a shirtdress and a Henley top. They are the easiest things to layer.

If you are a cardholder with Nordstrom then you can shop the sale right now (which I highly recommend, just sayin'(; ), but if not then no worries because you only have three more days until the sale is open to everyone.

I actually bought this set back in the fall time for a wedding, and i'm just now getting around to posting it, oops! I even thought about not sharing it since it's out of stock, but decided against it because I really do love it. I pinned it in the pack to bring the skirt up a little, that way it was a little more modest for the wedding. But I can totally see this being one of those outfits to grab for a trip to the city. Like I said it's out of stock but I did find a few other sets that I have linked above and below. 

Living in a tourist spot there is one weekend that the locals don't look forward to in particular, that is Memorial Day Weekend. One word: Traffic. You learn to leave your house sometimes 30 minutes early and learn the back roads. The funny part is, this is just my second summer living here and i'm already complaining (Lord bless my own heart). But other than the extra people it's a great weekend to chill by the beach, if you can find a spot.(;

Easter Dress Shop

I've been thinking about my Easter dress for a few weeks now but it just hit me yesterday that it's coming up this Sunday. Therefore, the procrastination must end tonight. It's a decision between lace, floral patterns, and just simple pastel colored dresses. I've got all of those linked in the widget above. Three other dresses that are great options would be this high low dress, which I am honestly debating on. This little white dress is up next, and this dress that I have decided to classify as the sweet southern Easter dress.

Are y'all sick of these boots yet?? Sorry i've been wearing them a little too much haha; i'll try and switch it up for the next post. Anyway, on to what I really want to talk about, this fur vest. I waited too long to post this and I am so sorry! It really just didn't feel right to post about fur until there was snow on the ground. I actually got it back in July when Nordstrom was having their anniversary sale. I've been wanting a faux fur vest for yearssss, and I finally put my foot down and got it. It was still on the pricey side but so worth it because of the quality, look (seriously, I get so many compliments ever time I wear it), fit, and feel of it. I know it's not very fair that I am talking all about the great things about it when it's not in stock, but basically my point is if you want a piece for 5 years and you've done your research/find the perfect match bite then bullet and get it girl!  

Two of my brothers and my dad are leaving for Brazil (so jealous!) tomorrow morning. The older I get, the more I realize how valuable family is. Not to mention how fun having a big family is. Needless to say I think my mom and I will miss having to fight over the TV after a day or two.

One of my goals for this blog is to show you how to style items over and over again. Because let's be real here, ain't nobody got time or money to wear a brand new item every single day. Therefore, I am wearing this skirt for I think the third time on LSTF. A few years ago my dad told me a standard I needed to own skirts. I had to get rid of all my skirts and start all over again. This was one of the first new skirts I bought, and I never thought I would get so much wear out of this georgia peach. 

In other words, I'm sure you all know about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!! You can shop it right now if you are a Nordstrom debit/credit card holder. But the rest of us are going to have to wait until July 16th. I will be back with a round up of my favorite things from the sale later.
