I did a coffee run the other day in a town that is just a little chillier than where I live, so I threw on this sweatshirt dress and scarf. I love this dress to pieces but it looks like it shrunk a little in the wash *insert crying emoji*, but it'll still look cute with leggings this fall. I original bought it because my work requires me to wear more formal-ish wear (aka no jeans) and I still wanted to be comfortable. Y'all the best part is that it's only $34! You really can't beat it. 

The Cape has that small time feel (especially when the tourist leave) and yesterday just reminded me of that. There was a wounded warrior bike race going on one of our bike paths and my mom and I drove around and kind of followed it. It was just neat to see how the schools and active military along with police and firefighters from town came out to support them the whole way.

Style Guide: Fall Bag

Go grab a pumpkin spice latte because it's the first day of fall and I have a little shopping you can do, and we all know coffee and shopping go together like biscuits and gravy.

I have worn this flannel about 7 times in the past 2 weeks.... Aka it's worth every penny you will ever spend. The moment I found out about Miss Cocky at the start of the year I have been obsessed. Like I sometimes have to block myself from their site and Instagram so I don't spend an entire paycheck obsessed. This flannel is not on their site; however, I was able to order by phone call. They also have a boutique open in downtown Cola, SC with the sweetest staff for all you local ladies. 

For this look I went with the classic Carolina girl attire for a day at Willy B: An LBD, then I paired it with the flannel on top. You could also tie this flannel around your waist for a hotter day. I would also pair it with a crossbody that is the same color as your shoes to add an somethin' extra. 

And yes. Yes those are cranberries in the background. And there were signs for pumpkins on the side of the ground. Am I gonna accept it? No. I have another week New England!

I have to say, the job I have now has definitely gotten me to experiment more with fashion and my personal style. I can't say I would've chosen this dress before or not, but I sure am glad I decided to grab it! Lace Up dresses can be intimidating if you are more conservative but it's such an easy fix to pop a tank top or slip underneath. So that is no excuse to not try this trend out (;

Unfortunately this year was yet another year to miss #NYFW, but from all the snaps and Instas I have been seeing it's been a pretty good one. Like really good. Fingers crossed #NYFW Spring 2016 will be the one for me!

I've been on an Instagram kick lately, so I thought now would be the perfect time for an IG round up (or it's just a substitute because I didn't get any outfit pictures done hehe)! I'm starting to find out what themes I like and how to add it to my Instagram as well as what types of pictures to post next, and I think that's why i've been into it more. Also, what are y'alls thoughts on the new update? I'm not sure how I feel about being able to post full pictures yet. 

Anyway, you know how I have been dreading fall? Well I just found the "official date" is September 23rd. Therefore, I will still be grabbing an ice cream and heading to the beach until that date. Solution = found

This top is one of those pieces where you can just throw it on and you're good to go. It has so much character by itself that you really don't need to add anything else to make it an outfit. Unfortunately it's an older piece from my closet so you can't buy this exact one but I linked a similar one.
